Volunteers can help make Peninsula Channel a thriving and vibrant community media enterprise. They help with events, shoot video, assist with editing, and more.
Whether you come with a specific expertise, a new skill you’d like to learn, or just an interest in being a part of the Peninsula Channel, we welcome your help.
Some of the volunteer projects we need help with include:
Sales - Find sponsors, underwriters, donors and members.
Video Production - We produce videos of several events per season and for special projects. Volunteers can help to run cameras, set up lights, control the audio, etc. Experience is helpful, but we will train dedicated volunteers.
Event Volunteering – Public events are an important part of what we do. We have several events each year and volunteers are needed before, during and after events. Volunteers run the door, set up the space, provide tech support, write thank you letters and lots more.
Post production – When we need help editing videos, organizing our media, etc. Distributing our videos is a great way to spread our work past the Peninsula.
General Help – Help with general needs (cleaning up, set construction, organizing and all kind of things)
Office Work – Don’t underestimate the value of this work. Helping with database maintenance, letter writing, answering the phones, responding to emails and other related duties is a fundamental part of Peninsula Channel’s operations. Help us spread the word about what we do (put brochures/fliers in public places around the area.)
